About this event

We are inviting you to a screening at the Brixton Ritzy of a film developed by patients and staff at Kings College Hospital which shines a light on the stigma faced by people living with HIV.

Standing shoulder to shoulder with remarkable individuals, and through this short film we share in their journeys of living with HIV — stories of courage, vulnerability, and transformation.

Through intimate conversations, we witness the intersectional challenges they have faced, and the unwavering support systems that have guided them toward strength, self-acceptance, and hope. Each story belongs to someone who continues to shape their world - within their communities, families, and circles of friendship - with quiet resilience and openhearted truth.

From isolation to embracing hope for the future.
From shame to growth.
From fear and uncertainty to strength and self-acceptance.

These journeys reveal the complex, overlapping layers of physical and emotional wellbeing - and the extraordinary personal growth that can emerge through adversity. They remind us that awareness, compassion, and genuine human connection are not just ideals, but lifelines.

Together, these stories stand as a testament to resilience, to love, and to the power of community in creating a world where everyone living with HIV is seen, supported, and celebrated.
