Join Curt DiCamillo for an exciting, illustration-rich romp through the first volume of his new book series, A British Country House Alphabet: A Historical & Pictorial Journey. The first of three books that will enchant seasoned country house visitors and amaze those new to art and architecture, the first volume, which covers the letters “A” through “H,” contains fascinating content and beautiful pictures that presents famous historical events, cultural innovations, and interesting tidbits that are associated with British country houses. Volume 1 includes stories of the origins of afternoon tea, badminton, the bowler hat, the golden retriever, and much more!


Admission is $27 per person (plus Eventbrite ticket processing fee) and includes a copy of Curt's new book! Stay after the talk for a dessert reception and signing opportunity!


Curt is a historian and authority on the British country house who lectures and leads tours on the architectural and artistic heritage of Britain and its influence around the world. Currently Curator of Fine Art at American Ancestors, Curt formerly worked for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the National Trust for Scotland. He has been presented to the late Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and Charles, The Prince of Wales. A native of the Philadelphia area, Curt grew up in Central Florida with his sister, the award-winning children’s book author Kate DiCamillo.
