Have you lost a loved one to homicide? Do you feel called to support others through their grief?
Center for Victims invites you to join a free, in-person 8-week training designed to equip you with the tools to lead peer support groups for others impacted by homicide loss. This training is for people with lived experience who want to create safe, supportive spaces in their communities.
What to Expect:
- Weekly in-person sessions (2 hours each, evenings)
- Practical skills in group facilitation and trauma-informed support
- A private, supportive environment for learning and connection
- Certificate of completion for those who attend all sessions
- Access to a 10-week peer support group curriculum to use in your community
Who Should Attend:
This training is open to adults who have lost someone to homicide and want to turn their experience into compassionate action. No prior facilitation or clinical experience is required—just a willingness to show up, learn, and support others.
What Happens After You Register:
After submitting your RSVP, you’ll be contacted to complete a brief screening interview. This helps ensure the program is the right fit and that you feel supported throughout the training process.
