The 7th Annual Light The Way For Hope Luminary: 2025 Overdose Awareness Day Event will be held at Mount Pleasant Town Hall located at 100 Ann Edwards Lane Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina 29464.💜
Join WakeUp Carolina, Mount Pleasant Police Department, The Charleston Center, and The Town of Mount Pleasant for Overdose Prevention and Narcan Training Thursday, August 28th at 7:15 pm followed by 'Light the Way For Hope' Luminary, honoring and remembering our loved ones.💜
**RAIN OR SHINE**
Overdose Prevention and Narcan Training will begin at 7:15 pm at Mount Pleasant Town Hall Council Chambers located in Town Of Mount Pleasant's Municipal Complex.💜
Participants will:
📍learn how to recognize the signs of an overdose
📍the steps to administering Narcan nasal spray
📍how to save a life in the event of an overdose
📍The SC Good Samaritan Law
Participants who complete this training will:
📍receive a free overdose prevention kit containing two Narcan nasal sprays
Light The Way For Hope Luminary will promptly start at 7:45 pm following the training on Mount Pleasant Town Hall Lawn.💜
We will be honoring and remembering the lives of our friends, family members, and loved ones through words, luminaries, and video.💜
On this special night, we will honor and share the beautiful lives our community has lost.💜
Friends and family can submit their loved one's name and/or photo to be honored at Light the Way For Hope Luminary by going to https://wakeupcarolina.org/overdose-awareness/ and filling out the form by Friday, August 22rd.💜
Their submitted names will be written on a luminary and placed on the Grande Lawn of Mount Pleasant Town Hall honoring their beautiful lives.💜
