This workshop is perfect for artists or NON-ARTISTS of all levels who want to break free from static compositions and infuse their work with vibrant energy, bold color, and expressive mark-making.
Through live demonstrations, guided exercises, and personalized feedback, you'll learn to harness your intuition and develop a unique approach to abstract painting that is both expressive and deeply personal.

Week 3 — Embodied Mark-Making, Rhythm & Flow

- Intention vs. spontaneity
- Risk-taking and restraint
Week 4 — Sketches & Applied Skills
- Building small-scale paintings and practicing for larger works
- Responding and adjusting
- Additive and subtractive processes
Week 5 — Critique & Working Large!
- Review and group critique sketches, choose your best one!
- Begin the process of working on your final painting
- 1:1 guidance and group feedback while you develop your final work
Week 6 — Personal Voice
- Refining an individual approach and finishing touches to your final piece
- Group critique and personalized feedback
