Join the networking event and lively debate featuring inspiring women from the premier life-science organization of the San Francisco Bay Area.

They will share with us their personal journeys in the biopharmaceutical industry, the challenges women can expect to face, as well as general advice for women (and others) hoping to build their careers in the Industry.

Ghada Haddad is currently an Executive Director, leading the Global cGMP and Compliance Auditing Organization at Merck & Company. Prior to that she was the Head of the Global Quality Risk Management Center of Excellence, building a team of experts to develop and implement a robust and sustainable QRM program.

She holds a chemistry degree and an MBA with over 22 years of experience, working in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical industries in the areas of Quality Risk Management (QRM), Validation, Quality Systems and Regulatory, including research, management (people and projects), process development, auditing, regulatory agency inspection, change control and validation.

Ghada was the chair of the PDA Paradigm Change in Manufacturing (PCMO) initiative: QRM in Packaging and Labeling, QRM for the Design, Qualification, and Operation of Manufacturing Systems task forces, a member of the Manufacturing of Drug Products Task Force, and co-chaired the Aging Facilities Points to Consider. She is also a faculty member for PDA’s Training and Research Institute, a Science Advisory Board member and a member of the PDA Board of Directors.

Lucy Cabral has twenty-five years of experience at Genentech and Roche in the Quality Assurance, Operations, Compliance, and Quality Control groups as part of the plant quality functions.

Lucy has extensive experience managing commercial and clinical contract manufacturers and material suppliers operating worldwide, US, Europe, and Asia.

Lucy holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology ad she is an expert in auditing raw material suppliers.

Currently Lucy is the Head of Supplier Quality, for the Roche Pharma worldwide responsible for the management of materials (chemicals and components). The team is responsible for qualifying and monitoring Roche suppliers worldwide of clinical and commercial material for biologics and small molecule products and for Material Specifications lifecycle management used globally as well as the responsibility of expiry date assignment of Roche products.

Lucy is the leader of the PDA Supply Chain Interest Group.

Valerie Brown is Vice President, Quality, at Gilead Sciences, Inc. based in Foster City, CA. Results driven, process-oriented accomplished professional with over 15 years of senior leadership experience in Quality Management, Regulatory Compliance, Product/Process Development, and Project Management in U.S. and global markets.

Throughout her career Valerie has hold full P&L responsibility for multi-million-dollar operations; key product development and launch initiatives and organizational transitions- mergers and acquisitions.

Valerie is a recognized industry expert in compliance standards – cGMP, ISO 9000 series and USP Verified

Diane Hagerty is currently Senior Vice President - Quality, Compliance & Operational Excellence at Dermira. In this role Diane is responsible for the deployment and continuous improvement of a GxP Quality Management System and leading quality programs for risk management, operational excellence and external collaboration.

Prior to joining Dermira, Diane was Vice President of Quality Systems at Ultragenyx and served in a variety of global leadership roles at Genentech/Roche and Johnson & Johnson spanning pharmaceuticals, medical devices and information technology. Diane started her working career at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals holding roles of increasing responsibility in Research & Development and Regulatory Affairs.

Diane holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from Bates College and a Masters of Science in pharmaceutical quality assurance and regulatory affairs from Temple University.

Lillian Marrero is Executive Director SLM, Bio PMO and 3PM at Boehringer Ingelheim Fremont Inc. She is a seasoned supply-chain professional with over 26 years experience including Medical Devices, Electronics, Pharma , Biotech and SAP/Third Party Consulting.

Throughout her career she has gained vast experience in Cost reduction/avoidance projects, operational optimization, Product Transfers , Planning, logistics, Re-Engineering of Manufacturing Control Systems , Customs and compliance, Procurement and Orchestrating Organizational Change at many levels.

Lilian has worked with several ERP platforms and have implemented SAP / MES in more than one occasion. Most importantly her experience with embedding the use of ERP systems into Business Processes and Site Routines have allowed her to collaborate in moving organizations to the next level.

Lilian has previously worked at Prior to join Lilian has at Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer where where she held positions of increasing responsibility.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico.

Tara Callahan is Senior Director, Corporate Counsel Technical Operations at BioMarin Pharmaceutical. Prior to this role she worked at Genentech as Senior Corporate Counsel, where she was responsible for legal oversight and approval of procurement contracts and providing legal support on property transactions and business acquisitions.

Tara has started her career with Bryan Cave where she has represented clients before federal, state, and local environmental agencies with respect to compliance and permitting issues and achieving broad policy objectives in rulemaking proceedings.

Tara holds a B.A from Vassar College and a Doctor of Law from Washington University in St. Louis

You can contact the event organizer sending an email to rsvp@wccpda.org, please allows few days for the response, emails will not be monitored on the day of the event.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?

Yes, ticket is not reimbursable, however you can transfer it by 10AUG20 to whoever would like to attend in your behalf

Dinner seating is confirmed and reserved in advance. We regret that no refunds can be offered for non-attendance. If a registrant cannot attend, substitutions are welcome by 10AUG20. The chapter reserves the right to cancel a dinner meeting if the minimum number of attendees is not met by Monday prior to the event. The chapter reserves the right to not answer emails or phone calls on the day of the event
