5K Charity Fun Run

Dear DC Dash 5K Supporters, Participants, and Sponsors,

We hope this message finds you well. Due to the ongoing government shutdown, it is likely that Gravelly Point, the planned venue for our 5K, will remain closed on November 1st. Consequently, this year's event will NOT take place at Gravelly Point. While this is beyond our control, we remain committed to supporting our mission of providing scholarships to children of workers injured or killed on the job.

Rather than canceling the event, we invite all registered participants to complete the 5K on their own at a location of your choosing on November 1st. Whether it’s a local park, a neighborhood trail, or even a treadmill, we encourage you to walk or run in support of our cause. Share your experience with us by sending your pictures to kidschanceva@berkleynet.com, and let’s keep the spirit of this event alive!

As a thank you for your participation and commitment, each registered participant will receive a commemorative 2025 Commissioner Roger Williams DC Dash 5K pint glass featuring our generous sponsors’ names. These will be mailed to you shortly after the event date.
