About this event

Business • Career

We are on a mission to embolden women in their faith and work.

Hopefully, this is not news to you, but we value courage and boldness around here. It takes courage to dream big and boldness to take action towards your goals. It takes courage to ask for a raise, volunteer to present, and apply for a new position. It takes boldness to start a Bible study at work, offer to pray for your coworker, and invite someone new to join you at a Polished chapter event. As women anchored in faith and ambitious at work, we know that living with courage in the face of fear, skepticism, and self-doubt is the only way to grow and flourish.

This month we’re focusing on developing confidence, stepping outside our comfort zone, using our voice, and walking in authority. Whether you’re in a transition, waiting, or growth season, we can live with courage and boldness. You don’t have to be the most outgoing person in the room or the goal-oriented person in the office to live boldly. Often, the person most comfortable with the status quo displays the most extraordinary acts of courage. Whatever your personality type, profession, and aspirations, we invite you to join us this month in a conversation about what it means to live with courage and boldness.

About Our Speaker: Violet Toston

Violet Toston is an HR professional with global roots and a people-first mindset. Having called London, Africa, and the U.S. home, her journey has shaped how she leads - with empathy, curiosity, and a deep respect for people and culture. With a background in retail and staffing, she’s led teams of 600+ in fast-paced, matrixed environments and knows that thriving workplaces don’t happen by accident - they’re built with intention.

A graduate of John Brown University with a degree in Business Administration, Violet blends a strong academic foundation with hands-on expertise in HR and recruiting. Her north star? Lead with empathy. Empower through trust. Build cultures where people feel seen, heard, and valued. She believes HR isn’t just a function - it’s a force for connection, growth, and transformation.

When she’s not in HR mode, Violet finds joy in exploring God’s creation - whether through travel, walking outside, having meaningful conversations, or discovering the perfect cup of coffee. She channels her curiosity into new adventures, her creativity into cooking, and her love for people into everyday moments of connection. You’ll usually find her exploring new coffee shops, watching a great movie or show, bargain hunting (yes, she’s that friend who loves a good deal), or planning her next adventure - anything that feeds her love for connection, great food, and discovery.

Based in Northwest Arkansas, Violet continues to push the boundaries of HR while contributing to meaningful work at DaySpring and striving to live a life full of purpose!
