About this event

Gulf Coast Mac Down is a family and pet friendly event with music, games for the young and the young at heart, and sampling of LOADS of mac and cheese. Presented by Spire Energy, Mac Down celebrates the roaring Mobile food scene and timeless tradition of this beloved staple. The proceeds of Mac Down benefit The Cookery Project, a local 501c3 nonprofit, working to tackle out of school hunger.

The Cookery Project is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to instilling healthy eating habits through food literacy, and life skills training to economically disadvantaged children and adolescents as well as youth with disabilities in South Alabama. The mission is to engage and empower our youth through multicomponent culinary interventions including food sourcing, nutrition education, and culinary experiences.
