Welcome to the 4th Annual Back To School Community Event!

Date: August 9th, 2025

To ensure a safe and organized event with access to all activities and giveaways, families must have wristbands.

A charitable donation is required for each wristband to help support the nonprofits hosting the event

Donations can be given on the day of the event (cash accepted) or sent via CashApp: $2TruBrothersinc

All children must be present with an adult to receive their wristband, backpack, and access to all event activities.

  • FREE School Supplies: Elementary, middle, and high school backpacks with age-appropriate school supplies will be available (1 per child).
    • Reminder: Children must be present with an adult to receive a bag.
  • FREE Basic Haircuts: Get a fresh look for the new school year! Haircuts are available on a first-come, first-served basis from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
  • FREE hairstyles and nail styles for girls
  • Fun & Games: Enjoy face painting, bounce houses, raffles, and interactive games!
  • Delicious Food: Food trucks will be on site with tasty treats to satisfy your cravings.

Can I get school supplies without my child present?

No, in order to receive school supplies, free food, and any giveaways you must have a child present.

What is the timeframe for the event?

The event starts at 1pm and ends and ends at 5pm. There are allotted times for each activity during the event, see agenda. School supplies may run out so please be sure to arrive on time.

Do I need to register my child in advance?

Your child/children can be registered in advance or day of the event.

Is there a chat to attend the event?

There is no ticket purchase needed to attend the event. A respectful donation is requested to receive the events free items and can be made prior to arrival via cashapp, or in person the day of the event.

What items will be provided at the event?

The items provided will be backpacks/school supplies distributed to each child and distributed until supplies run out.

Are the haircuts and hairstyles all day?

No the haircuts and hairstyles are on a time frame. The haircut/hairstyle time frame is from 1-3pm and on a first come first serve basis.
