This 4 sessions beginers course is for the pottery enthusiast who want to learn and develop their pottery skills on the wheel.
This group course runs for 4 weeks. You will meet with an instructor once a week (Tuesdays or Saturdays at 1130am) for 4 weeks in a group class setting for two hours.
In this 4 weeks series you will learn how to center and master the cylinder, make simple shapes such as cups/mugs, bowls, vases. You will also learn how to trim and glaze your ceramics. All course materials are included.
What's Included:
Your ticket includes one 25lb bag of clay for your projects, and access to a variety of glaze colors for ceramics surface decoration and firings. This course also includes unlimited open studio time for the month you are enrolled in this course. Which means that you are able to stay after class to keep practing or access our pottery room for extra practice time any day of the week during our business hours for the duration of the course.

About Our Studio @mercado_art_studio Mercado Art Studio is a beautiful and welcoming clay studio that has been serving the Hallandale Beach community for over two years now, and before that with a location in Downtown Hollywood for five years.
We offer;
- One time beginner classes for wheel throwing,
- pottery painting and mosaics projects,
- candle-making classes,
- four and eight week courses for those who want to learn more,
- monthly memberships that come with unlimited access to the studio and a locker to store your things,
- firing services for people who want to utilize our kilns, and we’re also a store where you can come in a buy beautiful finished works by our members, or to buy clay or tools.
There is plenty of free parking right in front and back of the studio, and we are conveniently located East of the I95 in Hallandale Beach.

Life happens, we get it! Please give us a 24 hours notice if you would like to reschedule your class.
You may reschudle one of your four sessions if for some reason you must unexpectedly miss a class.
