This 4-week intermediate course takes you beyond the basics. You’ll learn to refine your technique, throw larger forms, and experiment with complex shapes and glaze designs — building on your foundation to create truly professional-looking work.

🗓 Course Outline

Week 1 – Advanced Centering & Form Control

• Review centering & pulling consistency

• Throw taller cylinders and balanced shapes

• Explore proportion, scale, and symmetry

Week 2 – Functional & Decorative Forms

• Throw lidded jars and large bowls

• Create matching sets and multi-piece compositions

• Refine throwing rhythm and precision

Week 3 – Artistic Development

• Explore altered forms, wide platters, teapots, and decorative rims

• Trim advanced shapes and add surface texture

• Strengthen creative design decisions

Week 4 – Glazing & Surface Design

• Layer glazes and apply advanced finishes

• Use dipping, and brush techniques

• Prep and present final work for firing
