Always wanted learn darkroom techniques but never found enough time? Interested in photography but not sure if you want to invest in a camera? Looking to meet and work with other artists? You're in the right place! This four part series will cover theory, techniques, and development. The first class will introduce the basics of photography and photographic theory and overview the cameras and formats we will be using. Class two will go over darkroom techniques and consist of a darkroom printing workshop. Course three will be an overview of digital photography and editing techniques in Photoshop. The final course in the sequence will be a group critique of everyone's work and overview of professional development and opportunities engage in the modern art market. Students will have the opportunity to shoot and develop photography throughout the course, in the second half of class and between classes.
