Will this event be open to the general public?

Yes, everyone is welcome to attend the hiring event and connect with employers to find employment opportunities. 11:30am is the dedicated time for Veterans to enter the building and connect with employers as a Priority of Service.

Am I able to bring my children?

Yes, this is a family oriented event. However, please keep them with you at all times. Station 16 Fire Department Headquarters is also a museum and has precious equipment that is exposed to the general public. Caution should be used at all times while in the building.

Will there be access to any computers to complete applications?

Yes, the American Job Center mobile unit will be onsite so that you can access computers to complete applications or print out your resume.

This event is open to the community with a special focus on honoring and supporting our Veterans.

Join us for the 3rd Annual Veterans Day Career Carnival & Resource Fair, a free event open to the entire community, dedicated to connecting jobseekers with opportunities across the Lower Shore!

Special Priority for Veterans

Veterans and transitioning service members are highly encouraged to attend and will receive:

Priority of Service to all participating employers.
A Special Recognition Ceremony starting at 11:30 AM (30 minutes prior to general admission).

What to Expect

The carnival will host over 25+ employers and resource organizations from all over the Lower Shore, ready to assist jobseekers with their employment goals and provide valuable community resources.
