3nd Annual Speed Networking Event

We invite you to join us for our 3nd Annual Speed Networking event on December 4th, at Castlerock Pub.

Make sure you bring your business cards for a night to connect with every person in the room! You will have a chance to spend 2 minutes with everyone indivdually to learn more about them and their business. Once the timer goes off you will rotate the room to sit with someone else until you have checked everyone off the list.

We ask that you please RSVP for the event with your business name so we can ensure we prepare name tags and a list for you to make notes!

DONATIONS FOR STEPS TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

This is the largest event of the year and I really want to make the most of us getting together so this year we will be accepting donations for STEP.

Steps to End Domestic Violence (formerly Women Helping Battered Women) serves all survivors of intimate partner violence.

Our mission is to assist in the transition to a safe, independent life for all those who have been affected physically, sexually, emotionally or economically by domestic abuse and to promote a culture that fosters justice, equity, and safety. Our programs include Emergency Shelter & Housing (we run a 21-unit pet and family-friendly emergency shelter), Legal Advocacy, Support Groups, a 24/7 Hotline, Education & Outreach, and a Family Program.

In 2024, Steps assisted 94 homeless adults and their 90 children to move into permanent housing. Advocates on our hotline fielded nearly 4,500 calls, emails and webchats. An average of 58 new survivors called the hotline each month, and our Family Program spent 2,778 hours providing playgroups, advocacy, and parenting support to 210 adults and 360 children.

What they need donations for:

Shampoo/conditioner/body wash (full or travel sized, unopened)

• 2 in 1 and 3 in 1 combos of the above are also helpful

Deodorant (full or travel sized, unopened)

Reusable grocery bags

Clothes Hangers

Winter Coats (Women's & Kids)

Kids Clothing: Winter Jackets (not fleece or fuzzy), snow pants of all sizes, children's boots or shoes of all sizes, and underwear (new/unopened) sized for 8 year old's through 14 year old's.

Clothing - Lounge pants/leggings, men's clothing (pants and shirts)
