Redwood Parks Conservancy's 36th Annual Candlelight Walk Through the Ancient Redwoods

✨ Enjoy the beauty of Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park in Orick, CA as you stroll along the softly illuminated, ADA-accessible Revelation Trail. Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Candlelight Walk—celebrating 36 years of this magical tradition!


📅 Dates: Friday & Saturday, November 7 & 8, 2025
🕓 Time: 4:00 – 7:30 p.m. (Doors open at 3:30 p.m.)
📍 Location: Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Orick, CA
🎟️ Tickets: $25 per person; Children 12 and under free (each child must have a ticket)

✨ This is a timed-entry event with two groups each night:

  • Group 1 entry at 4:00 PM
  • Group 2 entry at 6:00 PM


🌲 Event Highlights:

✔️A peaceful, luminaria-lit self-guided trail walk through ancient redwoods

✔️Local storytellers sharing winter, holiday, and redwood-themed tales

✔️Hot cider and cookies at the visitor center

✔️Silent auction to benefit Redwood Parks Conservancy (RPC) and its mission to support Redwood National and State Parks

✔️Limited to 300 guests per night; tickets sell out fast!

✔️Event held in partnership with Redwood Parks Conservancy, California State Parks, and the National Park Service.

✔️Pets are not allowed.


No refunds. All sales are final. This event will happen rain or shine. Please dress accordingly. Redwood Parks Conservancy reserves rights to cancel or change the event without prior notice and reschedule if needed.

Check-In

  • At the Visitor Center booth before your timed entry
  • Bring a printed or downloaded digital ticket
  • No cell service on-site – download tickets in advance

Parking, Shuttles & Directions

  • Parking: Along Newton B. Drury Parkway (approx. 2 miles from Visitor Center)
  • Shuttles: Run from parking area to the Visitor Center check-in
  • Short walk from shuttle drop-off to check-in—watch for traffic

Driving Directions:

  • From the South (Eureka area): Take Highway 101 N to Exit #753 (Newton B. Drury Parkway). Drive north approx. 2 miles and park on the wide shoulder of the Parkway.
  • From the North (Crescent City area): Take Highway 101 S to Exit #753 (Newton B. Drury Parkway). Note: Exit #765 will be closed for Hike & Bike Day on Saturday only. Drive north approx. 2 miles and park on the wide shoulder of the Parkway.
