Every Tuesday & Thursday
All study participants will have the opportunity to attend 12 weeks of free, in-person yoga at ZSFG, learning classical yoga exercises.
One-third of participants will be randomly selected to attend a 12-week course on holistic healthcare before starting their 12 weeks of yoga.
Purpose of Study
UCSF researchers are exploring whether yoga exercises may improve mood in adults suffering from depression.
Who May Participate in Study?
• People with depression, age 18 and older, in fair physical health
• People not currently in treatment with anti-depressant medicine or talk therapy
• People who are not pregnant during study period
