Rarely does an idea for a comedy sketch arrive to us fully formed. In this workshop, we’ll work on taking seeds of ideas and building them into sketches with a strong premise and game. We’ll talk through basic sketch structures and how to find the best one to fit your idea. Bring your scraps, your overheard phrases, your half-baked character ideas and watch what they can become!

Claire McFadden improvised and performed sketch comedy all over the country with the Second City Touring Co., before going on to star in two Jeff-award nominated Second City Mainstage revues, Do the Right Thing, No Worries If Not and Don’t Quit Your Daydream. She’s written for Jackbox Games, Netflix Games, and has improvised at every major theater in Chicago, as well as in the back of many bars.
