We’ll explore two distinct longform structures—the Slacker and the Monoscene—and how each offers a unique set of tools to elevate your scene work. Through guided exercises and group play, we’ll examine the connective tissue that powers a Slacker’s rapid-fire transitions and character webbing, as well as the grounded commitment and environmental awareness that make a Monoscene compelling. By focusing on how form can inform choice, pacing, and relationships, this workshop will sharpen your instincts and expand your narrative toolkit. Ideal for improvisers looking to deepen their understanding of structure while keeping scenes active and emotionally rich.
