Join us for a weekend in nature at the Waskowitz Outdoor Education Center for our Annual Family Retreat! This retreat is the perfect opportunity to relax, reflect, and grow together as a community. This year’s retreat explores themes of connecting to nature with our senses. Open to individuals and families of all backgrounds!

- Shared cabins or BYO tent

Can I come alone?
Absolutely. This retreat is open to everyone, whether you’re a family or an individual looking for spiritual growth and meaningful community time.
Can I just attend for a day?
Yes! Day passes for Saturday, August 16th are available in limited quantities. They include meals and full access to workshops and activities.
How much does it cost?
Full Weekend: $150 (tax not included)
Includes 2-night stay, all meals, and full program access.

Is transportation provided?
We’re happy to help coordinate carpools! Just let us know on the registration form.

Can I bring kids?
Yes! The retreat is family-friendly and includes activities for all ages. Children under 3 attend for free.
Lodging Info:
Twin-sized beds provided in shared cabins (divided by brothers, and sisters). Prefer privacy? You're welcome to bring your own tent.

Camp scholarships or discounts are available please contact Yasin@wearewasat.org for more details. We will also be offering day passes priced at $60 for those who would like to attend on August 16th 2025 instead of the entire weekend. Tickets for children ages 3 and under will be free.
Here are the basic items recommended: Blanket & Pillow. Amenities at the campsite include dining hall, outdoor seating area, twin bed cabins, fan, bathroom and showers. If you would prefer not to be in a shared cabin you are welcome to bring your own tent.
Yes, children are allowed. Wasat annual retreat caters to all ages and is planned to accommodate families better. There are sessions around connecting with the Divine through the Quran, nature, and knowing ourselves. We also have games, sports, socials, hiking, family activities, and more!
Absolutely! The chefs can cater to various dietary needs including Halal, Gluten-free, Vegan, Vegetarian diets, and any specific exclusions you may require. It’s advisable to inform us of your dietary preferences ahead of time so that suitable meals can be prepared.
Yes! If you’re interested in having a personal tent there is an area on site where you can set up your own personal tent.
