The intention of this event is to empower women to “show up” as the strong, confident professionals entrepreneurs they are meant to be. What are the barriers to showing up, and how can we knock them down? What resources do women need in order to move their careers and businesses forward? This year, our theme is "The Art of Storytelling and Creating You," and our speakers will be providing useful and actionable talks on how to write your story to your advantage for 2019!

PLATFORM SPEAKER: Valerie Gordon

Our platform speaker is Valerie Gordon, an award-winning television producer, content creator and longtime storyteller. As the founder of Commander-in-She, Valerie offers keynote presentations, group workshops and personal and corporate strategizing to help clients harness the power of story. She is a 10-time Emmy and 3-time Edward R. Murrow award winner, and her television work has appeared on HBO Sports, CBS News, ESPN, Weekend Today and Lifetime.

In this upbeat and engaging session, Valerie will help us Take Command with the Art of Advancing Your Story. Use the principles of storytelling for goal setting and show up for yourself in 2019. Build a better Next Chapter with more of what you want and less of what you don’t in this interactive workshop.

AFTERNOON SPEAKER: Amy Polacko

Our afternoon speaker is Amy Polacko, a former award-winning journalist who now runs a multi-million dollar vegan health and wellness business. She is an Executive Regional Vice President with Arbonne International and has built a global business team from the ground up. Amy is an advocate for small businesses, has run several networking groups, and believes great things happen when women support each other.

Amy’s talk is called How to Have Killer Confidence, and here is a brief description: At the end of the day, your business - and your life - is all between your ears. So, if you have cracks in your confidence, it's probably showing up in your paycheck. And the scary part is...you may not even realize it. Amy is going to give you tips on uncovering these cracks, making your mindset ironclad, and exuding self-confidence that will take your business to the next level. She wants you to leave on a mission to become the boss babe you deserve to be!
