Thank you for joining us for the 24th Annual La Crosse Open!

The La Crosse Open moves to Pettibone Lagoon this year and strives for a premier athlete and spectator experience. Things will look a little different this year; continue reading for the run-down and exciting additions!


REGISTRATION

  • 100% of registration fees go back to the La Crosse Open and La Crosse Area Log Rolling Association program.
  • Pro registration will be open from May 10th, 2025 through June 16th, 2025. No late registrations accepted.


ORGANIZATION AND RANKINGS

  • The La Crosse Open is a Level 2 Tournament sanctioned by the US Log Rolling Association. Pro applicants are required to have a current paid membership and have a standing ranking by the US Log Rolling Association.
  • Applicants without a paid USLRA membership on June 16th, 2025 will not be able to compete at the 2025 La Crosse Open.


SCHEDULE

  • 8:30-9:30 AM: Check-In (Athletes under 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian)
  • 9:00-10:10 AM: Open Warm Ups
  • 10:20 AM: National Anthem
  • 10:30 AM-12:00 PM: Preliminary Matches (Front Bracket)
  • 12:00 PM: Introduction of Semi-Finalists, Semi-Finals, Finals
  • After Finals: Back bracket
  • 2:30 PM: Amateur Tournament


DOUBLE ELMINATION ORDER AND WARM-UPS

  • Why the change in competition order this year? Semi-Finals and Finals will be held at noon for spectator and vendor convenience!
  • Six or more logs (both spike and carpet) will be available for warm up use during the pro competition. Pro athletes cannot enter the warm up area after the Amateur competition begins in the afternoon.


RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Pro competition will follow a double elimination bracket and US Log Rolling rules.
  • Competitor shirts will be provided, however, athletes are not required to wear them. Athletes are encouraged to wear whatever attire reflects their comfort and style.
  • Spike logs will be used for professional competition. Pro athletes must compete in spiked shoes.


ATHLETE AREA

  • Check-In: Athletes will check in at a registration table. Competitors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal parent or guardian at check-in.
  • Upon Check-In, competitors will be directed to the Athlete Area. We ask that all competitors use this area to camp out for the day.


AWARDS

  • Awards will be given in a formal presentation. Award recipients may wear their competitor shirt or whatever attire was worn during competition. Awards ceremony details to come closer to tournament day.
  • Prize Payout information will be released no later than June 16th, 2025.


FOOD AND VENDORS

  • Healthy snack and breakfast items will be provided at Check-In and during the pro competition in the athlete area (first come, first serve)
  • The La Crosse Area Log Rolling Association will serve hot dogs, brats, sides, and treats throughout the day. Treat yourself and consider a donation to the LALRA!
  • Food, drink, and coffee vendors will also be onsite. 2025 Vendors include Festival Foods/La Crosse Area Log Rolling Association (free brats, hot dogs, sides, and treats), Dunkin' (free iced coffee and munckins), Monkey Business Food Truck, and Bee's Knees Coffee.
