23rd Annual Blanket of Dreams - Make Blankets for the Homeless

By Teri Collins

Overview

Come make blankets for the homeless in this community effort ! Come for an hour or stay all day. No reservation needed.

The 23rd Annual Blanket of Dreams event where everyone in the community comes together and makes blankets for the homeless is being held Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Mary Seat of Wisdom Clark Ministry Center 1335 South Clifton Avenue, Park Ridge.

Bring 4 yards of fleece and a pair of scissors to make a blanket. If you can't afford fleece, we'll have some there. You don't have to know how to sew to make a blanket - just cut and tie. There will be free refreshments for the blanket-makers. The blankets are going to the Franciscan Outreach homeless shelter on the west side of Chicago. Everyone is invited, families, friend groups, teams, scouts, etc. All ages are involved but adults must accompany any children under ten years old. This is a great service project to kick off the holidays. This is sponsored by the Women of Hope and Wisdom at Mary Seat of Wisdom parish in Park Ridge.

If anyone is interested in making a donation of fleece or a monetary donation toward fleece, please contact Teri Collins at www.blanketofdreams.com
