Join us for our annual in-person event at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center on Monday, January 19, 2026, as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a day of service and community engagement. Together, we will honor his teachings and work toward creating a more inclusive and equitable society. Participate in various service projects and engage with local nonprofits to explore year-round opportunities to give back. Let’s come together to pay tribute to one of history's greatest civil rights leaders and continue Dr. King’s dream of a better world.

Event Details:

  • Time: Service projects and volunteer fair from 2:00 PM – 4:00 P.M. Doors open at 1:30 P.M.
  • Location: Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center

Check In

Check in starts at 1:00 P.M. on both the upper and lower levels of the Conference Center.


SSL Hours

For Student Service Learning (SSL) Hours, SSL forms can be picked up at the MCVC/MCPS Table at the end of the event.

Students will receive 2 SSL hours for their participation in community service from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. Please note that participation in this service project is at the discretion of the student’s parent/guardian and must take place outside of school hours. Nonprofits are responsible for student safety during the event. Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact the hosting nonprofit with any concerns.

By registering for this opportunity, you are pledging to continue completing acts of service in the spirit of Dr. King.


Parking

Parking is available at the North Bethesda Metro. Use the walkway under Rockville Pike to access the Marriott.
