2026 Middle School Two-Day Watershed Workshop at Weedon Island Preserve
Overview
This Watershed Workshop at Weedon Island Nature Preserve is designed for Middle School students (current 6th through 8th) to engage students in hands-on skill-building activities that will empower them to become environmental leaders in their community. Students in this workshop will gain an understanding of watersheds, develop skills to take action and inspire others through leadership, as well as participate in hands-on activities including cleanups and kayaking. In addition, students may receive up to 2 hours of community service.
Please note, while we do NOT require a registration fee, we do require students to be in attendance for the ENTIRETY of the two-day workshop. Students who are not able to be present for the first day of the workshop will not be permitted to attend the second day.
If you register and later realize you will not be able to attend both days, please unregister so that other students may have the opportunity to attend.
All activities at our workshops are included.
* If registration is full and you would like to be added to the waitlist, please contact Jaya Brizendine at edprograms@kpbcares.org*
