About this event

The Harvard Glee Club Alumni Chorus will be collaborating once again with the Kyoto University Men’s Glee Club Alumni “Old Boys” for the 13th time, in our home base of Cambridge, MA. Join us for a week of rehearsal, socializing, sightseeing, and strengthening bonds with our Kyoto friends. It will culminate in a joint concert on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at First Church Cambridge, led by former HGC Resident Conductor and current Director of Choral Activities at Denison University, Dr. Harris Ipock, and KGC’s longstanding conductor, Masahiro Fujita.

We will also be welcoming The Jameson Singers as a guest ensemble, founded by former HGC Conductor Dr. Jameson Marvin, and led by former HGC Associate Conductor Dr. Kevin Leong.

Participants will be strongly encouraged to attend a rehearsal weekend in Cambridge in the second half of April. Special hotel rates will be available for June, as well as optional excursions after the concert week. This tour is scheduled to start immediately after Harvard/Radcliffe Reunion Weekend, so if you’re in town for reunion, make a whole week of it with HGC! Spouses/significant others who were in a Holden Chorus and who are comfortable singing a TTBB part are welcome, too!

This experience is always gratifying, full of both nostalgia and novelty, old and new friendships, and above all, great music-making. It’s perfect for those who miss that special HGC vibe that’s so hard to find again after graduation!

    ABOUT HARVARD GLEE CLUB ALUMNI

In 1949, G. Wallace “Woody” Woodworth, the conductor of the Harvard Glee Club, and his predecessor, Archibald T. “Doc” Davison, began discussions with several former members of the Glee Club regarding the formation of an organization to provide permanent financial support for the Glee Club. These discussions led to the formation of the Harvard Glee Club Foundation in December 1949, which is an independent Massachusetts nonprofit corporation governed by an elected Board of Directors. The name was changed to Harvard Glee Club Alumni in 2020.

    MISSION

Harvard Glee Club Alumni connects our global community of alumni with each other and the Harvard Glee Club. We develop social and choral programming to further the enjoyment and support of the choral arts at Harvard and throughout our lives.

    VISION
