2026 First Day Hike

We will meet at the Visitor Center for hot coffee, tea, and bagels. Once our tanks are filled, we will head up the Eldorado Canyon Trail for a mile-long hike and head back down. This trail is moderate, gains approximately 1,000 feet of elevation in the first mile, and does have switchbacks. We will be going at a leisurely pace in guided groups. So grab your friends and family, and let's start the year with a memorable hike in stunning Eldorado Canyon State Park! Please wear sturdy hiking boots, bring shoe traction and poles if needed, and wear layers for winter weather.
