2026 First Day Hike
Overview
Get a healthy start to 2026 by getting outside with Lewisboro Land Trust for a brisk hike with your neighbors, family, and friends at Mount Holly Preserve. Join LLT's board member, Paul Collura, for a guided hike of Mount Holly Preserve, which has over 50 acres with 2 miles of trails. Highlights include the Indian Brook, which flows along the eastern boundary south to the Cross River Reservoir, and large outcrops of cliffs made of 6-million-year-old Fordham gneiss. Hot chocolate will be provided!
This hike is rated moderate and will take about 45 minutes. All ages and friendly dogs on leash are welcome (a carry option is recommended for kids under 5). Sturdy shoes and warm layers are recommended. Steady rain or other inclement weather will cancel.
Meet us at the Mount Holly Preserve entrance located diagonally across from 21 Mount Holly Road EAST, Katonah. For more information about the preserve, visit https://lewisborolandtrust.org/indian-brook-assemblage
