Which Choirs will be singing?

The Adult choir from Christ Church Winnetka and the children's choir from Sts Faith Hope and Charity Catholic Church will be singing all of our holiday favorites.

What is the program for the event?

People start gathering around 5PM for cookies, hot chocolate and hot cider. The switch will be flipped to light the tree at 6PM followed by a visit from Santa and one of his busy elves. The tree will be festooned with large shiny ornaments sponsored by local chamber member businesses.

When did the tree lighting start?

Started in 2009, the Winnetka tree lighting was held in the downtown area in the West Elm shopping district and eventually moved to Dwyer Park where it is now held each year.

Join us at the Winnetka Tree Lighting. Enjoy holiday music by two local choirs with your hot chocolate & cookies and a visit from Santa!

Since 2009, the Winnetka Tree Lighting has been held in downtown Winnetka. At Dwyer Park, we will enjoy hot chocolate and cookies as we countdown to the lighting of the Winnetka Holiday tree with the choirs of Christ Church and the Children's choir from St. Faith, Hope & Charity Catholic Church sharing the holiday spirit. The event would not be complete without a visit from Santa as he makes a special appearance at our Tree Lighting this year.
