Join us for an epic annual community picnic en masse in celebration of International Coworking Day in Kitsap, and the power of bringing people together.
Celebrated around the world in August, International Coworking Day is a salute to the ways in which the world of work is changing–for the better, AND the importance of authentic human connections. Across the Greater Kitsap region and throughout the world, coworking spaces are helping people work happier, healthier and more connected than ever before.
The White Tie Picnic is a fun-for-all block party. Picture a massive picnic on rows of continuous decorated picnic blankets, laid out beneath whimsical white paper lantern decor, live music, and lawn games—all enjoyed by friends, family and neighbors dressed head-to-toe in white. That’s what you’re in for!
HOW IT WORKS
Come dressed head-to-toe in white, and bring a picnic to enjoy together at Centennial Park. Please note that there is NO alcohol permitted in Centennial Park.
Blankets will be provided, as well as a limited number of tables for those requiring ADA accommodations. Get creative! Let the inner designer in you run wild, and bring whimsical white “table” decor for your picnic area, too.
Prizes will be awarded for best picnic blanket decor, best dressed, and more - have fun, and get creative!
The event is presented by Vibe Coworks and is free and open to ALL.
RSVPs are appreciated, but not required, as they help in the logistics of making sure we have enough blankets laid out for all before you arrive. Bring your friends and family!
Come ready to enjoy:
- Live music performed by Megan and Heidi
- Lawn games!
- Zero proof cocktails
- Lemonade
- Icecream treats
- Prizes for the most festive picnic area, best dressed in white, etc.
- Good food + great company (You’re in charge of your own picnic!)
PARKING
Event parking is available in the lots directly adjacent to Centennial Park, off of 7th Avenue. Please do NOT park at The Centennial (where Vibe Coworks is located). Parking at The Centennial is reserved for dine-in customers of Crabtree Kitchen + Bar.
DRESS FOR THE OCASSION!
Wear white from head-to-toe if you can! Skip “pop” colors and stick with white Ideas: white hats, white jackets, white wigs, white tie or bow tie, white sneakers… Originality is encouraged, as long as it stays stylish and tasteful.
BRING ALL NECESSARY SUPPLIES FOR YOUR DINNER
I.e. reusable food, plates, silverware, glasses / water bottles, low-sitting lawn chairs (or skip chairs and sit on your blanket!), fun (all-white!) decorations (think florals, battery-operated candles)
WEAR WHITE, BUT THINK GREEN
Join us in our endeavor to make this as Near-Zero Waste of an event as possible. Please strive to bring only reusable dinner supplies, decor, costume pieces, etc.
CLEAN UP AFTER YOURSELF
Clean up after yourself, and take all recyclables and landfill items to the designated Trashy Taskforce stations
NO ALCOHOL!
This is a delightfully alcohol-free event, and we're proud of that. Please do NOT bring alcohol to the picnic. Not only will you be breaking the law; you will also be jeopardizing our ability to host the event again in the future.
Please join us in thanking our sponsors!

It doesn't matter, really, but there's something pretty fun about dozens of people all showing up 'in costume' together. The theme for this event is all things white. Get creative with it! No time to dress up? Don't let it keep you from showing up! Everyone is welcome.
Afraid not. This is a delightfully alcohol-free event, and we're proud of that. Please do NOT bring alcohol to the picnic. Not only will you be breaking the law; you will also be jeopardizing our ability to host the event again in the future.
You bet! Gigantic communal picnic blankets are provided (it's part of the fun). You're welcome to sit right down on the blanket, or bring along a lawn chair if that is more comfortable for you. (Low-sitting chairs preferred). Please contact hello@vibecoworks.com if you require ADA seating options.
