University City High School to Induct 10 Alumni Into UCHS Hall of Fame on October 16, 2025
Join us as we celebrate 10 University City High School alumni who’ve enlightened our world on a local, national and global scale when we induct them into the prestigious University City High School Hall of Fame.
- Thursday evening, October 16, 2025 | 5:30 to 9 p.m.
- University City High School, 7401 Balson Ave. (63130)
- Reception: 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. with buffet dinner
- Ceremony: 6:45 p.m.
- Cocktail attire
Ticket Information:
- General Admission Tickets: $75 (deadline is Thursday, October 9)
- Gold Contributor tickets: $100 per person by Sept. 22, 2025 or $125 per person by September 26, 2025 (includes sponsoring a student to attend and a notation in the event program)
- Special rates for inductees and staff (passcode required)

- To pay by check/cash or discuss passcodes, please email communications@ucityschools.org. Funds must be received (not just postmarked) by the deadlines above to receive special pricing, so please email at least two weeks prior to deadline.
- No tickets will be sold after October 9, 2025. No "at-door" admission, nor payments accepted.

The 2025 honorees are:
E. Dorsey Ruth, Class of 1930,* educator, realtor, and advocate who championed equity for youth and co-founded Sherwood Forest Camp for underserved children
Frances Buss Buch, Class of 1934,* the first female executive and full-time director in U.S. television industry
Mary Goldstein Stolar, Class of 1958,* dedicated public servant and historic preservationist who founded Forest Park Forever
Cecilia Lacks, Class of 1963, teacher, author and First Amendment advocate, recipient of the 1996 PEN/Newman Award
Harley J. Hammerman, MD, Class of 1967, innovative radiologist, historian, and archivist
Robert B. Lochhead, Class of 1970, lawyer, humanitarian, and advocate for domestic violence victims and Ukrainian medical aid
Lamerol Gatewood, Class of 1973, internationally recognized abstract artist and educator
Redditt Hudson Class of 1983, social justice advocate and co-founder of the National Coalition of Law Enforcement Officers for Justice Reform and Accountability
Gershom Norfleet, MD, Class 0f 1994, trailblazing forensic pathologist and first African American to lead a regional state medical examiner’s office
Justin Vail, Class of 2001, public servant and the first Special Assistant to the President for Democracy and Civic Participation under President Biden
