2025 TPAPT Winter Virtual Conference: The Future of Tutoring
Overview
We're happy you found us and we're excited about this year's line-up!
Welcome to our 11th annual continuing education conference for tutors, IECs, and test prep professionals! This year we will spend a good deal of time focusing on the impact of AI on tutoring academics, operations, and marketing while also taking a deep dive into the changes to SAT/ACT and the impact on local educators.
What else is being covered this year?
Where do we even start?! Disruption came in the form of changes to DOE federal funding (the school business), test changes, and AI tutoring.
Any one of these would qualify as a business disruption and it is rare to have several at once. For that reason we expect this year's conference to be full of new information. We think these disruptions, when taken together, will define the immediate future for tutoring, college advising, and test preparation.
How are things organized?
Our sessions are built to both enhance understanding and to produce practicable take-aways. Sessions are straightforward and packed with data, insights, and best practices from some of the most experienced tutors and test prep professionals in the industry.
We'll have 10, one-hour workshops over the course of two days: December 11th - December 12th. Workshops take place between 11am ET and 5pm ET. Each workshop has a Q & A and attendees can submit questions in advance for the Q & A.
Here's more:
- Individual workshops are $35 or you can sign up for the full conference for $200.
- All registrants will receive whatever "swag" our sponsors provide.
- As always, we'll share the work-shop recordings the week after the conference.
- There is specific detail about each workshop session and our awesome presenters below.
Who attends these things anyhow?
Our members are people like you! We have over 17,000 members who fall into 4 main categories:

Welcome and Opening Remarks
This year’s conference is shaping up to be our most impactful since 2016. The tutoring landscape is undergoing major disruption—from market shifts to the rapid integration of AI into teaching and learning. While the overall market continues to grow, so do the number of tools and strategies being pitched to meet the needs of an evolving generation of learners. Change of this magnitude demands that tutoring businesses adapt—or risk falling behind. At times like these, information and communication are critical, and we believe that the best insights come from empirical data and proven best practices. That’s exactly what this year’s sessions deliver: a focus on disruption and opportunity. Whether you’re an early adopter or a cautious strategist, you’ll walk away with data-driven takeaways to inform and empower your next move.
