2025 SX Mine Tour: Prospective Mining & Mineral Resources Students

San Xavier Mine Tours for Students Interested in Mining Engineering or a Sustainable Mineral Resources Minor

All students interested in the School of Mining Engineering & Mineral Resources' minor in Sustainable Mineral Resources or a degree in Mining Engineering are invited to tour the University of Arizona's San Xavier Underground Mine on one of the following dates:

• October 11th, (9am-2pm) time includes roundtrip transportation
• November 15th, (9am- 2pm) time includes roundtrip transportation

Free food and prizes will be provided!

• Deadline to sign up is 1 days before the tour date
• Space is limited so if you register, please make sure to attend.
• Students are encouraged to carpool amongst themselves.
• Transportation provided if needed, however students you must show up & attend if you signed up for transportation.
• For those needing transportation, please arrive to Mines & Metallurgy Building at 9:00am , the car will depart at 9:10 am SHARP. The tour will end around 1pm. We will return to campus at around 2pm.
• For those providing your own transportation, please arrive to the mine by 9:50am. The tour will end around 1pm.
• If you RSVP, please uphold the commitment as supplies and space is limited.
