The 2025 rifle tournaments are individual events with yardage variables based on ammunition and gun set-up. There will be two daily tournaments with up-to 72 shooters each. Registration to participate on either Monday or Tuesday, 9/29/25 or 9/30/25. This free event is "first-come, first-served" basis and is open to South Dakota first responders and military personnel only.
***There will be 1st and 2nd place "Top-Gun" trophies awarded for each tournament:
- 1st tournament with up-to 72 shooters and 4 start-times: 9am | 10am | 11am | 12 noon (up-to 18 shooters each start time)
- 2nd tournament with up-to 72 shooters and 4 start times: 1pm | 2pm | 3pm | 4pm (up-to 18 shooters each start time)
South Dakota Salutes is an event to show appreciation and support for those who serve & protect the citizens of South Dakota.
The South Dakota Salutes event will be held at Hunters Pointe Shooting Complex and the following are invited to attend "free" of any charges to participate in various shooting sports:
- Law Enforcement – Including: City & Town Police; County Sheriff's & Deputy Sheriff's; Highway Patrol Officers; Game, Fish & Parks Officers; DCI & etc.
- Fire & Rescue, including EMT’s (Full time employees & volunteers)
- Military Personnel – including: Army; Navy; Air Force; Marines; Reserve Units; Guard Units (Active Duty & Retired)
Hunters Pointe Shooting Complex (HPSC) has one of South Dakotas finest outdoor rifle & pistol ranges.
SPONSORS are providing: targets, ammunition, trophies, gifts, food & beverages.
VOLUNTEERS are providing their talents & services to host this event.
ADVANCE RESERVATIONS are required because the capacity of the courses is limited and because it's necessary to be able to plan for enough food & beverages, prior to the start of the event.
