Join us on Saturday, July 26th, 2025 at 10:00 AM for the 7th Annual Run/Walk to Remember Tim, a special event to honor the memory of our beloved Tim Smith while getting active, having fun, and raising awareness for an important cause.

We’re so grateful to come together year after year — to celebrate Tim, support the incredible nonprofit Save the Michaels, and share a beautiful day in the (hopefully!) sun.

🏃‍♀️ New This Year:

We're excited to introduce a 1-mile run, followed by our traditional group walk. Whether you're joining for the run, walk, or both — all paces and all people are welcome.


🗓️ Event Schedule:

  • 10:00 AM – Check-in opens, T-shirt pick-up
  • 10:30 AM – Moment of Remembrance & remarks on how your donations support Save the Michaels
  • 10:45 AM – 1-Mile Run begins
  • 11:00 AM – Group Walk (up to 3.1 miles)
  • 12:00 PM – Refreshments & Picnic Lunch at the tent

👟 What You Need to Know:

  • The trail can be bumpy in spots — sneakers are strongly recommended, even for walkers.
  • Families and kids are welcome! Children attend free, but if you'd like a t-shirt for them, please select a $10 kids ticket.
  • All dogs must be leashed.
  • Register before July 16th to guarantee a T-shirt — sizes and supplies will be limited after that!

💜 About the Cause

All proceeds benefit Save the Michaels of the World, a nonprofit that raises awareness about prescription and other drug addictions. They provide compassionate, wrap-around care for families and individuals on the journey through addiction and recovery — offering hope, healing, and community when it's needed most.

If you’d like to make an additional tax-deductible donation, we encourage you to donate directly to Save the Michaels in Honor of Tim. Thank you for your continued support.

Our family is hosting a run/walk this year to celebrate the life of our dear son and brother, Timothy Smith. As many of you know, our beloved Tim passed away in January of 2015 due to a drug overdose after struggling with addiction and anxiety for many years. Tim was and is still so well-loved by many people.
Through the years of Tim’s struggle, it became clear to us that addiction is a disease that is often met with isolation, stigma, and shame. We hope this run/walk will raise awareness of and encourage people to be vocal about their struggles, to ask for help when they need it, and to know that they are not alone.
