WSU Extension, in cooperation with WA DNR and King County, presents the 2025 Puget Sound Forest Owners’ Field Day to help you foster healthy and resilient forest conditions in your woods, address common challenges, pursue new stewardship opportunities, and achieve your goals for your property. The Field Day is a full day of workshops that cover a wide variety of topics in a family-friendly, out-in-the-woods environment. The Field Day will also feature exhibits by local agencies and organizations that assist owners of forested property.

Organized by

We are locally-based Washington State University faculty and staff dedicated to providing objective, research-based information and resources to forest and woodland owners in the Puget Sound Area. This program serves Island, King, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, and Snohomish Counties. WSU Extension has additional forestry programs that serve other parts of the state.

We offer a variety of forestry classes, publications, and online resources that are designed for people with just a few acres of woods as well those with larger forests or tree farms. Whether you are interested in a healthy forest, wildlife, timber production, the beauty and aesthetics of a natural area, or some combination thereof, we have research-based answers to help you get the most out of your property.
