Each year, PennHealthX hosts a conference that shines a spotlight on entrepreneurs, innovators, and inventors in healthcare. Our past conferences have explored diverse medical career paths, the impact of genomic technology, medical AI, and health equity. This event typically attracts around 200 medical students from the Philadelphia/Northeast region, and speakers engage with our attendees through keynote talks and interactive workshops.

This year, our team is excited to be hosting the 2025 PennHealthX Conference: “Breaking Barriers – Innovation & Access in Healthcare”. This year's conference will explore the ways in which advancements are interacting with and evolving medical practice and accessibility, with a particular focus on technological advancement like medical devices, virtual/hybrid care delivery, and the impact of current healthcare policies on innovation and access in medicine.

The conference will be hosted at the Jordan Medical Education Center (JMEC) in the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine in Philadelphia on Saturday November 15th, from around 9 AM to 5 PM.

PennHealthX is a student-led organization within the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania with the intention of supporting students with interests in healthcare management, entrepreneurship, technology, and business. The mission of PennHealthX is to help students learn how to identify and address unmet needs in the healthcare system, get support for their ideas, and participate in interdisciplinary lectures, workshops, and competitions across campus.
