Welcome to the 2025 Pacific Northwest Retreat! We are excited to be hosting an in-person retreat from August 29 - September 1 for singles within the Reformed community.

Join us at Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church for a weekend of rejuvenation, reflection, and encouragement with a focus on Bible teaching and fellowship set against the beautiful mountains of western Washington!

Families of ERBC will provide accomodation and breakfasts. Alternatively, if you prefer to organize your own lodging, we can recommend hotels nearby for you.

The Theme

The theme of this retreat, "Christian Friendship" - If we are going to have those special, deep friendships and hold onto them for the course of our lives - even see them mature over a lifespan - it's important that we remind ourselves, rather frequently, of the benefits and the rewards of such deep friendships. These outweigh the risks or the cost factors. In other words, there's more to gain than to lose.

The Speaker

Gordon Cook, the pastor of Grace Baptist Church of Canton, Michigan, will be our speaker for this year. He was born in Ontario, Canada. He grew up with his three brothers as the son of a mining engineer and lived in many places throughout Canada. He was graciously drawn to Christ at the age of sixteen after a serious car accident.

After receiving a B.Th. from Ontario Bible College, Gordon also completed a B.A. at the University of Waterloo. In addition, he completed the three and a half year program of ministerial training at Trinity Ministerial Academy in Montville, NJ. Gordon taught for two years at a Christian school in Canada before being called to serve as pastor at Grace Baptist Church in 1987. He has been happily married for twenty-six years to his wife Heidi, and they are the grateful parents of their son, Landon.
