TEX TALIAFERRO

The late Tex Taliaferro rode with the Ellensburg Rodeo Posse for more than two decades,

won three Kittitas County Calf Roping Championships (1947-49), and

served on the Ellensburg Rodeo Board from 1948-52 and 1956-70.

PALMER- SMITH CATTLE COMPANY

The Palmer-Smith Cattle Company has served the Ellensburg Rodeo as timed events stock contractors from 1988 to the present. Under the leadership of Brent Palmer, they coordinate the use of timed events stock and provide cattle for the tie down, steer, team, breakaway roping events and steer wrestling.

MIKE BEERS

Oregon cowboy Mike Beers was1993 Ellensburg Rodeo All-Around champion, 1988 and

1992 Ellensburg steer roping champion, and won the 1984 PRCA World Team Roping title

(with header Dee Pickett). During his career, Beers won an amazing thirty-one Columbia

River Circuit Finals championship buckles in steer, calf, and team roping and all-

arounds on the way to his 2017 induction into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame.
