Hosted by the Healthy Start Center for Urban Breastfeeding, this 3rd annual brunch kicks off Black Breastfeeding Week (Aug 25–31) by celebrating Black breastfeeding as a powerful act of health equity and honoring the birth workers, mothers, and expectant moms who champion it.Join us for a joyful celebration of Black Breastfeeding Week at our 3rd Annual Breast Friend Brunch! This special event brings together Black breastfeeding moms, expectant parents, and the birth workers who support them for an afternoon of good food, community connection, and culturally grounded celebration. This year, we’re focusing on deepening community bonds and increasing knowledge of breastfeeding benefits in Black families. Enjoy delicious brunch, engaging conversations, music, raffles, giveaways, and a beautiful space where Black women feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether you’re breastfeeding, planning to breastfeed, or supporting someone who is — this event is for YOU.Note: This is an adult-centered event.
