Meet at the Escalante Interagency Visitor Center and caravan/carpool to the track site.

Using science and imagination, Backcountry Park Ranger Bob Stevenson will help you travel across time, where present and past converge to cross paths with a dinosaur.

HIKE INFO:

At the track site, there will be a hike up short but steep slickrock onto the outcrop. This hike is not universally accessible.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • 2 liters of water
  • Lunch and snacks
  • Hiking shoes
  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and hat
  • Curiosity
  • Imagination

The Escalante Canyons Art Festival is a "working arts" celebration and has become one of the premiere art and literary gatherings in the region that welcomes visitors to the stunning landscapes of the Escalante Canyons in southern Utah.  Festival goers are treated to a plein air art exhibit and sale, an arts and crafts fair, live entertainment, a speakers series, workshops, and demonstrations.
