Black and Brown Birthing Summit is a groundbreaking three-day conference that aims to celebrate, empower, and elevate the voices and experiences of Black and Brown birthing individuals. From thought-provoking panel discussions to interactive workshops, we bring in an exceptional lineup of national and local experts who will dive into crucial topics relating to women, babies, and families in present crisis.

The African American Babies Coalition and Projects (AABC) is a group of African American community leaders who promote the healthy development of African American babies across the Twin Cities through collaboration and training.

How much does it cost to attend?

$0. This event is free to the community.

When is this event?

The free two day conference will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025 and Friday, September 19, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. There is a special pre-Summit workshop for those interested.

What is the Pre-Summit Workshop?

Community members are invited to a special pre-Summit workshop focused on trainers who want to train statewide. The "Training of Trainers workshop will be held on September 17 and will be focused on building the capacity of providers to support maternal mental health. Free to attend.

Can I or my organization set table at the event?

Yes. Vendors are invited to table and share resources while supporting the event. The price to join the summit as a vendor is $150 (plus fees). Please contact Donyella Smith at donyella.smith@wilder.org if you have questions.

Is there food provided?

Yes. We will provide complimentary breakfast and lunch on each day of the summit.
