About this event

The 2025 Beloit Kubb Open will be the eleventh kubb tournament hosted in Beloit, Wisconsin but the very first with competition under the lights! Teams of two can register for the competition that is set for Saturday, August 9th at Pohlman Field. Registration will begin at 1:00 p.m. with play set to start at 2:00 p.m. After the qualifying rounds every team will be seeded into one of the elimination brackets to play for a title!


Approximate game times are as follows:
2:00-2:25 p.m. – Qualifying Round #1
2:30-2:55 p.m. – Qualifying Round #2
3:00-3:25 p.m. – Qualifying Round #3
3:30-3:55 p.m. – Qualifying Round #4
4:05-4:30 p.m. – Qualifying Round #5
4:45-5:10 p.m. – Qualifying Round #6
5:25-5:50 p.m. – Qualifying Round #7

Dinner break from approximately 5:50 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Bracket play will start at approximately 6:30 p.m.

Where is the event?

The event will be held at Pohlman Field in Beloit, Wisconsin in the outfield of the former home stadium of Minor League Baseball’s Beloit Snappers (now Sky Carp). Pohlman Field is located at 2301 Skyline Drive in Beloit and there is ample parking adjacent to the stadium.

What is kubb?

Kubb (pronounced koob) is a lawn game where the objective is to knock over wooden blocks (kubbs) by throwing wooden batons (kastpinnar) at them. This lawn game can be described as a combination of bowling and horseshoes.

Are dogs allowed?

The City of Beloit allows dogs in public parks. Please ensure that you clean up after your dog at all times.

Is there an ATM on site?

There is no ATM located at Pohlman Field. There are a number of banks and a gas station a short drive from the competition site that offer ATM services.
