2025 Bagged Compost Pick Up For NYC Residents - Staten Island

Wednesdays and Saturdays from April 9 – September 27. Registration will open two weeks before each scheduled event.

DO NOT REGISTER FOR MORE THAN ONE TICKET. WE WILL REMOVE DUPLICATE REGISTRATIONS.

Thanks for your interest in picking up bagged compost at our 2025 Giveback Event Series at the DSNY Staten Island Compost Facility.

NYC residents who register are eligible to take up to ten 40-pound bags of free Big Apple Compost made from your food scraps and yard waste.

On the day of the event:

  • Bring your ID
  • Limit ONE ticket per person. If carpooling, each person must bring their ticket and present ID showing a distinct address.
  • Do not arrive before the listed pick up start time.
  • Residents only. Commercial vehicles will not be serviced.
  • Be prepared to load bags of compost into your own vehicle
