Artportunity Knocks, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through arts, education, and community service, is co-hosting the Back-2-School-Cobb event with the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office on July 26, 2025 from 10 am to 1 pm at Jim Miller Park in Marietta. The event aims to support families and educators for the upcoming school year with activities like Toddler, Kids, and Teen Zones, parent and educator resources, and concessions. Every Cobb County certified teacher AND child will leave with a backpack and school supplies (while supplies last). They invite volunteers and sponsors to join in supporting the event, which includes various volunteer roles and sponsorship opportunities. Donations of teacher supplies, school supplies, and hygiene supplies are also encouraged.

The Back-2-School-Cobb event aims to provide families and educators with a supportive and festive atmosphere as they prepare for the upcoming school year. This year, the event features a variety of activities and resources:
- Toddler, Kids, and Teen Zone - Offering a safe and fun space for children and teens to enjoy games, arts and crafts, inflatables, and interactive activities.
- Parent Resources: Providing families with information on educational support, after-school programs, and community services.
- Educator Resources: Providing educators with supplies (often purchased out of pocket) and additional resources to maintain professional development.
- Concessions: Attendees can enjoy a range of refreshments and snacks from the concession stands.
- All Adults MUST REGISTER along with the number of children
