2025 Apple Pie Workshop

Cost is $15. Payment is due in full by November 18, 2025. Cash, Check, or Money order only. Make checks payable to VCE-Dinwiddie. There is a $50 returned check fee.

Payments can be dropped off at the Dinwiddie Extension Office (13915-A Boydton Plank Road, Dinwiddie, VA 23841) between 8AM and 4:30PM or left in the drop box at the entrance of the building when the office is closed. For drop box payments, leave in an envelope with the participants' names and program name. ** Please note our office is NOT located at the Eastside Enhancement Center/Parks and Rec Building, but that is where the in-person event occurs.

We prefer that payments are not mailed due to the delays with USPS. Payments not received on time will result in cancellation. Products must be purchased ahead of time, and therefore no late payments will be accepted and no refunds given.

Reminders:

• Please arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before the workshop starts and no later than 10 minutes after the start time. We need time to set up and will not let participants in the room until that time.
• Dress for mess! Long hair should be pulled back to avoid hair-y pies
• Bring a sturdy pan with a lip at pick up as the pies are HEAVY and WILL leak
• Pies should be refrigerated overnight up to 2 days, otherwise freeze
• Bake pies either “low and slow” if you have time or 25-35 minutes at 425 degrees (cover the crust with foil for half of the duration to prevent burning)
• Bake pies on an additional sturdy tray as a precaution! Thin aluminum pans may bend and cause a big mess!
• Rolling pins can be brought BUT they often get left behind or mixed up so please no family heirlooms!
