Will we have access to presentation slides?

Slides will be emailed out to all attendees following the event at the email you used to register. Presenters at various sessions may bring print-outs, but not every presenter will provide slides in-person.

What presentations should we attend?

We understand that it can be challenging to decide what presentations to attend. A participant guide will be emailed out to attendees before the event to help you navigate. We will also have an information booth the day of our event where attendees can ask questions.

Question 3

How do I know which providers to connect with?

Accepted Answer

Providers will be roughly organized by category (Transition Planning, Education and Training, Adult Life, Self-Advocacy, Work Preparation, or Other).  Each table will have a placard that includes information (location, payment, service type, etc.)to help guide participants through our resource fair.

Are presentations going to be recorded?

Unfortunately, we are unable to record presentation sessions. Our sessions will be held in-person and slides will be shared with registrants after our event.

Question 5

Is parking available? What does parking cost?

Parking is available for free at the College of Alameda for all weekend events. We recommend using the parking lots closest to the gym (Building G) where we will be doing check-in. A campus map can be found on their webpage or at: https://alameda.edu/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/Campus-Map.pdf

Where should I show up?

Please plan on arriving between 8:30AM - 9:00AM for check-in at the gym (Building G). The resource fair will be in the gym. Presentations will be held in Building H on the first floor. Lunchtime entertainment will be in building F. Signs will be posted with directions on the day of our event.

What should I bring?

This is an all day event that will require moving across campus for different parts of our event. Weather can also be unpredictable. Please plan on bringing comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, snacks, personal care items, or anything else you might need during the day.

Las diapositivas se le enviarán después del evento al mismo correo electrónico que utilizó para inscribirse. Es posible que algunos presentadores traigan copias impresas de sus presentaciones.

Los proveedores estarán organizados aproximadamente por categoría (Planificación de la transición, Educación y capacitación, Vida adulta, Autodefensa, Preparación para el trabajo u Otros). ¿Se van a grabar las presentaciones?

Desafortunadamente, no podemos grabar las presentaciones. Las sesiones se llevarán a cabo en persona y las diapositivas se compartirán con los inscritos después del evento.

¿Hay aparcamiento disponible? ¿Cuánto cuesta el estacionamiento?

El estacionamiento es gratis en el Colegio de Alameda para todos los eventos de fin de semana. Recomendamos utilizar los estacionamientos más cercanos al gimnasio (Edificio G) donde nos registraremos. Planee llegar entre las 8:30 a.m. y las 9:00 a.m. para inscribirse en el gimnasio (Edificio G). La feria de recursos será en el gimnasio. ¿Qué debo llevar?

Este es un evento de todo el día que requerirá moverse a través del campus para diferentes partes. El clima puede ser impredecible. Use zapatos cómodos, ropa apropiada para el clima, bocadillos, artículos de cuidado personal o cualquier otra cosa que pueda necesitar durante el día.
