Mask Policy: We recognize that COVID-19 continues to pose great risks to our community, especially those who are immunocompromised. In order to create an environment where the presenting filmmakers feel safe and comfortable, we will require that masks be worn by all audience members while inside the theater and remain on for the duration of the pitch. We will have KN95 masks available at the door if you forget yours. Masks will be optional in the larger and well-ventilated gallery space where the after party will be held and food will be served.

Additionally, we ask that you do not attend this event in-person if you are feeling sick and/or experiencing symptoms including but not limited to fever, chills, cough, congestion, sore throat, fatigue, trouble breathing, unusual headache, nausea, or new loss of taste or smell. Your in-person ticket will be fully refundable if you are not able to attend due to illness and the pitch program will be streamable from home.

Accessibility: The David Brower Center strives to be accessible to all audiences and amongst the healthiest buildings in the East Bay. The main floor, including the Lobby, public restrooms, Theater, and Gallery, is fully compliant with ADA regulations. Assisted-listening devices are available upon request. The ventilation system at the David Brower Center is a dedicated outside air system (DOAS) that provides 100% fresh outside air directly into the building's spaces through an underfloor air distribution (UFAD) system. In event spaces, water-to-air heat pumps with ASHRAE recommended MERV 13 rated filters are used to satisfy the heating and cooling requirements as well as reduce fine particulate matter including viruses, pollution, and wildfire smoke. Indoor temperatures may feel cooler than “normal” due to the increased fresh air circulation. Guests are advised to bring extra layers to better control personal comfort.

Food at the afterparty will be labeled for common dietary restrictions. If you have an allergy and would like the caterer to label additional ingredients, please contact Brittney (brittney@bavc.org) by Wednesday, November 20.
