Symposium on University Research Fundamentals (SURF)

The Research Compliance and Integrity (RCI) Office will be hosting another, in-person Symposium on University Research Fundamentals (SURF). This was a great success last year with more than 10 sessions, 20 booths and over 225 attendees. In addition to our fundamental education presentations, this year’s symposium will include a few intermediate sessions. SURF was organized to identify the key departments that research faculty, students, staff and scholars encounter when conducting research at UC San Diego. Speakers and invited booth participants will provide information to attendees on their respective area(s), important issues affecting the research community, emerging trends, new policies and/or overall guidance, and actual case studies. CEU credit for attending the speaker presentations will be available, once attendance is verified. Evaluation sheets will be available to verify attendance at each presentation. Please note to receive at least 1 CEU credit, it is highly recommended that you attend at least two presentations (for one hour training).

Food and refreshments will be provided. Check-in time will begin at 8:30 am. Speakers will begin their presentations at 9:15 am.
