Serious Play Conference is a leadership conference. Here, chief learning officers, training directors from companies, healthcare organizations, nonprofits, the military and government can get a good understanding of how to evaluate games and simulations for their needs and integrate them successfully. The top game designers from the various markets share their knowledge about the value and use of different technologies, measurement and assessment strategies.
In other tracks, attendees learn how game mechanics are being used in K12, creating greater student engagement and retention. Faculty from universities with serious games programs learn how their peers are collaborating to expand the use of game technology for learning across the various schools in their campuses as well as strategies for turning out graduates who have the skills to have successful careers in serious game design.
Interactive workshops in all tracks let attendees participate. Evening activities and breaks are designed for networking.
Attendees report their favorite aspect of Serious Play is the chance to rub shoulders with and talk one-on-one with the experts and meet others with similar interests, expanding their contacts.

About the organizer
Serious Play Conferences are gatherings of thought leaders in the serious games (sometimes called game-based learning) space. Our focus is to broaden awareness of the use of sims and game-based education and training, recogized now by pedagogical, peer-reviewed research as a method to better engage learners and achieve retention. Serious games let learners be hands-on, to engage in creative play as a part of the educational process.
